I have being dealing with neighbour’s noise since 2013. I live in a semi and the neighbour has a telly hung on the chimney breast on a party wall. I am awakened early morning with their telly and I am prevented from sleeping in the evening. ASBIT won’t do anything, they say the noise is not loud enough. This noise is everyday and every night. Can you advise if ASBIT should be taking action.
We cannot comment on individual cases because we are not insured. We can give generic advice which would be to speak with your neighbour and ask them to reduce the volume and explain the impact on you or you could try activating the community trigger if you feel your reports of anti-social behaviour have not resulted in a meaningful solution. There will be a threshold but you can find further information about how to use the community trigger here: http://asbhelp-co-uk.stackstaging.com/community-trigger/
